Meet Sarah

Newcastle is experiencing tremendous expansion and current residents are in the eye of the storm. I am running for Newcastle City Council to preserve our quality of life. I will use my years of experience at Microsoft to build consensus on solutions which focus on responsible growth, prioritize public safety, and mitigate traffic congestion, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and not raising or adding new taxes.

My husband and I left Seattle for Newcastle 20 years ago because we wanted to raise our family in a safe, quiet community with a small-town feel. I've had the privilege of raising my son here and watching our city grow into the close-knit, vibrant community we all cherish.

My husband dedicated his career to serving the people of Washington State, and his example deeply shaped my own commitment to public service. During his courageous battle with cancer, I gained an even deeper appreciation for the power of community, compassion, and the importance of giving back. That experience continues to fuel my dedication as a longtime volunteer with Cancer Pathways, where I serve on the Board of Directors, and Bloodworks Northwest, where I host an annual blood drive in my husband's memory.

I believe in the power of diverse perspectives and am committed to listening, fostering respectful dialogue and guaranteeing Newcastle reflects our shared community values. Working together we can ensure Newcastle remains a safe, vibrant community where families can afford to live and thrive.
